REINS is nationally recognized as the premier organization dedicated to providing research based information to the North Carolina equine industry. REINS is a collaborative effort among Cooperative Extension, highly trained volunteers and the equine industry. Led by state REINS coordinator Mike Yoder, volunteers in North Carolina plan educational field days, barn tours, vaccination/health clinics, provide 4-H resource personnel, plan horse festivals, assist with research projects, make farm visits and assist the North Carolina Horse Council by distributing information and participating in committees.
